El Hierro Wines Take Center Stage in the Tasting Program of the 25th Best Wines of Spain Show

Bodegacanaria – Nov 18, 2025

The Best Wines of Spain Show, organized by the Peñín Guide and celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, has unveiled its 2025 Tasting Program—an edition of special significance for the Canary Islands thanks to the prominent participation of the D.O. El Hierro. Its masterclass “Five Centuries of Heroic Viticulture” stands out as one of the event’s main attractions, which will take place on December 1 and 2 at IFEMA Madrid.

The El Hierro Tasting: A Journey Through Five Centuries of Winegrowing History

The D.O. El Hierro once again takes a central role in the national wine scene with a session expected to be among the most attended at the show. Scheduled for Monday, December 1 at 15:00 in Tasting Room 2, this masterclass will offer attendees a sensory journey through the most representative wines of this Atlantic island, shaped by volcanic soils, altitude, and truly heroic viticulture.

The wines selected for the masterclass are:

  • Bodega Padrón 2024 – Bodega Padrón
  • Louis Goudard 2024 – Sdad. Cooperativa del Campo Frontera
  • 7 Marías Lías 2022 – Mirador de Adra
  • Cornicales 2024 – Bodega Cornicales
  • Elysar Vijariego 2024 – Elysar
  • Elysar Baboso 2024 – Elysar
  • Gran Salmor Dulce 2017 – Sdad. Cooperativa del Campo Frontera

A selection that combines young wines, unique creations, and historic sweet references, highlighting the diversity and potential of El Hierro’s winegrowing heritage.
