VINALETRAS reaches its tenth edition as a cultural reference point for wine in Tacoronte-Acentejo.

The publishing project, promoted by the Regulatory Council of the Tacoronte-Acentejo D.O., is once again supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Tenerife, the City Council of La Laguna and Cajasiete, an institutional collaboration that has allowed VINALETRAS to consolidate itself as a key tool for the dissemination of wine culture in the archipelago.

A launch event with a great response from the public

The presentation of the tenth edition took place in the cultural space of the Fundación México Canarias, in La Laguna, in an event that was packed to capacity. The editor of the publication, Santiago Suárez, and the councillor for the Primary Sector of La Laguna City Council, Cristina Ledesma, were in charge of presenting this new edition to an audience of professionals from the sector, researchers, wine and culture lovers.

During the meeting, attendees were able to purchase copies of the booklet and enjoy a glass of wine from the Tacoronte-Acentejo D.O., reinforcing the friendly and informative nature of a publication designed for both professionals and readers interested in the world of wine.

Seven perspectives to understand wine from multiple disciplines

The 10th VINALETRAS Notebook brings together seven articles that reflect the publication’s thematic richness and cross-cutting approach. This edition addresses issues such as soil fertility and water management in vineyards, the environmental impact of winemaking, the role of women in the evolution of wine, new advertising languages in the sector, as well as connections between wine, cinema, comics and sensory gastronomy.

The texts are signed by authors and specialists from different fields, which reinforces the vocation of VINALETRAS as a space for reflection where wine is understood not only as an agricultural product, but also as a cultural, social and creative element.

The volume is completed with an updated directory of wineries in the Tacoronte-Acentejo D.O., a practical tool that reinforces the informative value of the publication and its usefulness as a reference document.

Wine culture as a strategic axis

With this tenth edition, the Control Board reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of wine knowledge and the enhancement of the value of the territory. VINALETRAS thus consolidates its position as a unique project in the Canary Islands publishing scene, helping to strengthen the identity of the Tacoronte-Acentejo Designation of Origin and to position wine as a strategic axis of culture, sustainability and rural development.
