From 1 to 5 June, the island of Tenerife will once again become the epicentre of wine education in the archipelago with the celebration of the 8th edition of Canary Island Wine Ambassadors, a programme already consolidated as one of the most important training and informative actions for the projection of the Canary Islands wine sector.
During five intensive days, participants will experience a complete immersion in the reality of Canary Island wine, a unique heritage marked by the diversity of volcanic soils, the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and a legacy of native varieties that does not exist anywhere else in the world. The experience is designed to deepen both the technical knowledge and the cultural, landscape and human dimension that surrounds the island’s viticulture.
The 8th edition will combine specialised training, guided tastings, visits to wineries and vineyards, meetings with winegrowers and winemakers, as well as spaces for reflection on the present and future of the sector. All of this with a clear objective: to create qualified opinion leaders capable of communicating with rigour and passion the uniqueness of Canary Island wines both on and off the islands.
Ambassadors of Canarian Wines is not just a course, but a transformative experience. Throughout its previous editions, the programme has helped to generate a network of professionals -smokers, restaurateurs, communicators, distributors and wine lovers- committed to defending and disseminating the Canary Islands’ wine identity.
This new edition once again highlights the extraordinary diversity of the Canary Islands’ vineyards, from high altitude vineyards to heroic crops on volcanic lava flows, a perfect reflection of the complexity and richness of the island’s territory. Each day will allow visitors to understand how the landscape, climate and tradition translate into wines with their own character and great projection.
With this eighth edition, Canary Islands Wine Ambassadors reaffirms its role as a key tool for strengthening wine culture in the archipelago and projecting it to new markets and audiences, consolidating a common narrative based on authenticity, origin and excellence.
An essential event for those who want to know, understand and represent the true essence of Canarian wine.
